POLYON® controlled-release fertilizer, with its trademarked green color, is backed by years of research. For decades, it has been the market leader in the turf and ornamental markets, serving landscape and golf professionals as an affordable way to sustain healthy, green turfgrass. Now these same benefits of controlled-release fertilizer are being experienced by growers in specialty agriculture too.
Landscape professionals and golf course superintendents rely on POLYON’s extended
longevities, to help keep turfgrass healthy longer, reducing fertilizer
POLYON is available in varying formulations and longevities so growers can
efficiently provide nutrition to their crops, resulting in the best plants possible.
Growers have found that the controlled-release technology of POLYON is a more
reliable way to provide nutrition to their crops, including oil palm, sugarcane,
citrus and other fruit trees, nut trees, coffee and potatoes.
POLYON is an enhanced efficiency fertilizer (EEF) that features a polyurethane coating to control the release of nitrogen, so plants can uptake nutrients at a more efficient rate.
This is consistent, predictable nutrition delivery. Eliminate surge growth, lower burn potential and reduce nutrients lost in excess rainfall.
Extended longevity means you don’t have to fertilize as often – allowing you to reallocate labor resources to other tasks.
The durable coating gives POLYON a long, dust-free shelf life.
Low potential for nutrient leaching, denitrification, runoff or volatilization.
POLYON uses a unique, ultra-thin, ultra-tough polyurethane coating for consistent nitrogen release. Round, uniformly sized and dust-free granules are specially selected to facilitate the coating process. The thickness of the coating determines the longevity, from eight to 52 weeks, and is available in different options.
Within a week of application, soil moisture penetrates the polymer coating through osmosis. The encapsulated nutrients are dissolved, but not released until the soil temperature breaches the coating thickness. After the complete release of nutrients, the polymer coating eventually decomposes into naturally occurring elements by microbial activity.
No matter what market you’re in, there’s a POLYON blend for you.
