WICHITA, Kan. – As part of an ongoing collaboration, NAICONS has transferred its entire collection of filamentous fungi to Koch Biological Solutions, LLC (dba Mendel Biological Solutions). The fungi collection includes approximately 25,000 fungal isolates. The collection contains a subset of more than 5,000 plant endophytes, mostly originated from endemic plants of the Mediterranean region.
"We are excited about our collaboration with Koch,” says Stefano Donadio, Ph.D., CEO of NAICONS. "The fungi collection will now get the attention it deserves and we look forward to new products originating from it."
"We are looking forward to exploring this unique and extremely diverse collection of fungi from NAICONS,” said Bill Boycott, vice president of biologicals and origination for Koch. “Fungi are a potentially significant source of valuable natural ingredients and we look forward to developing novel products from this collection that deliver enhanced performance across a wide range of crops."
